(3,275 posts)I don't care. Growing old is better than the alternate. There are great people of every age out there. Look at Betty White and Carl Reiner. They are both 95 and still awesome. If anyone asks, I say that I am over thirty and leave it at that.
I hope you have a Happy Birthday!
femmocrat
(28,394 posts)I just say, "I'm a baby boomer!" That covers a lot of ground.
I asked my husband this morning, "How did we get to be the older generation?" His reply, "We kept breathing." LOL

(54,349 posts)I'm so old, I own fossils of animals that used to be my house pets.
Surely you're not THAT old?
(Besides, I had my over-the-hill party at 21 to get it out of the way)
femmocrat
(28,394 posts)I'm older than the dirt that covered those fossils!
You have had a lot of great experiences... I think I better get out there and do more fun stuff before it really is too late!

(54,349 posts)But you know that when the truth is told
That you can get what you want or you can just get old
You're gonna kick off before you even
Get halfway through
When will you realize, Vienna waits for you

(11,843 posts)December birthdays suck. "Here's your Christmas AND birthday present..."
Mine's the 22. One year (I was like 14 or so), my family forgot until after Christmas that my birthday came and went... And they wonder why I don't really care for celebrating birthday...
femmocrat
(28,394 posts)My husband's birthday is Dec. 16, and he never wants a cake, because "it's too close to Christmas." I always make his favorite dinner though.
Happy upcoming birthday to you, too, Thor_MN. Thanks so much.
