I’ll share a drink, as long as I don’t have to take down what’s on the labels!!

arsenic takes too long, cyanide might be a good choice too.

I'll have a Tequila sunrise with 100% agave Mexican tequila and California orange juice because F Trump. Or a Puerto Rican rum and Mexican coke for the same reason.

Those are excellent glasses. Nice score

He was a WW2 Veteran who was stationed in England, during the war. When he got back he returned to his job at a men's clothing store, and ended up as the top guy. He did a lot of buying, and I suspect these glasses were a gift from some sales rep. I've been doing some research on them. They are probably from the 1960's, are very collectable and I have the whole set.

Now that I know how valuable they are, I'm almost afraid to use them! They are already designated to go to my niece, when I'm gone.

Now I can see an extremely well dressed man (including perfectly polished shoes) sipping a cocktail and smoking a cigarette!

He never smoked, and once he left the clothing business, I struggle to think of when he ever wore a tie, save for to weddings and funerals. But he loved to entertain. I've got more sets of glasses, cut glass cracker, pickle and serving dishes than I know what to do with, so they are going to be donated to Habitat for Humanity or Volunteers of America. And even though he didn't smoke, I've also got some pretty fancy ash trays and a beautiful silver cigarette lighter.

I do remember, though, a lot of family parties with other uncles matching that description! My uncles all worked for General Motors - some in management, some as hourly line workers. They were divided between the cocktail and the beer crowd, but they all were the best of friends.

It is going to be hard to part with a lot of this stuff because I remember it from my childhood. But I'd rather it be used by someone, instead of just existing in cupboards.
