St Petersburg and see manatee all the time in their kayaking trips but nothing like this!

The manatees there are very tame since there are "swim with the manatee" opportunities.
This time of year is the time to see the manatees. The water comes out of the springs along Crystal River at 72 F all year round. When it is cold, they crowd into the warm waters near the springs as protection from the cold air temperatures.

But visit pretty often. It has been years now but maybe when we go downstate to visit Mom in February we will make that a stop along the way.
I swear I have a photo of an American egret under those leaning trees.
