(17,410 posts)A lot of times, when people are in a new situation, they try to conform in order to "fit in". Even adults do it. When this happens, it is apparent, and it is a bad look. But, it seems to me to be human nature in a lot of cases.
"Be yourself" is something that is often said by people who don't know what else to say, and it rings hollow, I know. But my meaning by saying it is simply...that stuff I typed above? Don't do that.

(7,997 posts)is to spend a little time reading here to see how things work. I use the Latest Thread tab to read the latest things posted most of the time. Home tab shows some of the highest ranking posts at the moment. If you like an OP (original post), you can "like" it at the bottom left of the post. If you want to save it for later because it's informative or too long to read at the moment, you can bookmark it. EOM means "end of message," N/T means "no text," and if you want to subscribe to certain groups, click on the group and you can subscribe at the top of the group's page. Other things become obvious after some time here.

(23,133 posts)I had a blivet on my camshaw-rinkometer, and couldn't get ANY power to the nardle; took me several days to figure out that it was a RIGHT-handed blivet, when it should've been a LEFT-handed one. Made all the difference in the world!
