They are beautiful.

I love Sting anyway, and when you add horses................
The black is a Freisian. The gray is an Andalusian. I think the herd at the end is Norwegian Fjords.

Might also be an Andalusian.

Gray horses are not born gray - they can be born nearly any color and gradually gray out as they mature. There are slow graying and fast graying genes - some gray horses are nearly white all over by the time they are three or four, some do not fully gray out until they are seven or eight.

The herd of all dun and grulla horses at the end could be Nowegian Fjords. There is also a herd before them that look like mustangs or Quarter Horses.

My gray mare (Anglo-Trakehner) was born black, and by the time I bought her at five, she was a dark dapple gray, with black mane and tail. She's gradually lightened over the years, to where now, at 32, she's nearly white, with silver mane/tail.

The warmblood stallion I crossed my Quarter Horse mares with was gray. Both colts out of that crossing turned gray.

Since it seems as though most of the filming was done in Western Europe with some stock footage from other locations, it's hard to tell what the breeds are for certain. Friesians and Andalusians are distinctive as are the Norwegian Fjords, but the other horses are pretty generic.

Besides, horses are sort of like humans - they have been crossbred over the years and there really are no true pure breeds left. Several of my Quarter Horses are also registered as American Warmbloods after being inspected and approved. These are Foundation Quarter Horse registered also, and have little Thoroughbred blood in their bloodlines.

But the black the girl is riding along the shore is not a Friesian - it does not have the feathers (hair) on the lower legs or the incredible gaits of a Friesian.

No, the horse the girl is riding at the shoreline at the end of that video is definitely not a Friesian.

Used to be that just about everyone had a horse, but only the rich could afford a car. Now everyone has a car, but only the rich can afford a horse.
