(6,819 posts)they actually tasted good. Years went by, new companies took over supply, and they went way downhill. JMHO.

(9,259 posts)But I have to buy one box of Caramel Delites to support my co-workers kid and they disappear in a day. DH likes the thin mints - yuck.

(15,380 posts)I'll eventually get a box or two of Samoas (or whatever they're calling them now) and will try to make them last more than a couple days. The solid chocolate and peanut butter disks are pretty good too. Never cared for the thin mints.

(5,914 posts)These are available at your neighborhood grocery, and they are the same thing. Taste, texture... everything. It's like having a methadone clinic right next door.

(32,634 posts)Oh my gosh, am I old. Grew up in the 50s and 60s.
Now I think they're up to $4 or 5 per box, aren't they?
I used to buy them at work because my co-worker's daughters were Girl Scouts.
But now I'm retired, so no such temptations any more.
Kali
(55,007 posts)at least this group. I figure they must be getting a little bit as a donation and it gets their parents out of the house. LOL
Phentex
(16,334 posts)cause no kids at home. So I got four boxes this time. I love the savannah smiles!

(38,310 posts)Dingo was an escapee of a dumb ass dog breeder who was later exiled from our county.
Our dear dingo will steal Girl Scout Cookies from the kitchen, drag them into her lair, and defend them ferociously against all trespassers.
The rest of our dogs do not mess with dingo high on Girl Scout Cookies.
This is close kin to our dog:
Hell on rats. And Girl Scout Cookies.

(6,627 posts)I'm an enabler! My daughters are Girl Scouts. 9 boxes total for us!
My faves are Tagalongs, right out of the freezer. Heaven. Thin Mints for the DH & Daughter #1, Samoas for Daughter #2, plus Trefoils & Savannah Smiles for good measure!

(38,553 posts)So I typically buy a box and give it to the next person that walks out of the store.
Makes people smile, and makes the pushers happy too!
