Ever gotten on the wrong train/subway/bus?

I've done that a few times in Europe. Our esteemed DFW rescued me from my mistake near Dusseldorf, and in Berlin I've caught the wrong subway twice. I am such a newbie to all this but I'm learning rapidly. Florida sucks for public transport (my only excuse), with only a few exceptions in Miami and Orlando. Not sure what Tampa/St. Petersburg have.

two flights were leaving at the same time, and somehow I got on one and my bag got on the other (I think I was on the wrong one).

My Dad was a world traveler and I'm grateful that he got to see some amazing places. Back in the '80s he and my mother visited the Middle East and they were on a plane on the tarmac in Cairo headed for Amman, Jordan. My Dad was quite outgoing, enjoyed meeting and talking with people, and he started up a conversation with the gentleman seated next to him on the plane. Just to break the ice he asked he man if he thought it would be as hot in Amman as it was there in Cairo. The man looked surprised and he said "This plane does not go to Amman, this plane goes to Baghdad!" If it wasn't for my Dad being friendly, my parents would have ended up in Iraq!

Another was when he was on a plane returning from China when he taught an elderly Chinese man to use a fork, LOL. Do you remember that infamous hijacking of a TWA flight from Rome to Athens to Cairo? I think it was in 1985. I remember that a photo of the hero pilot - Captain John Testrake from during the hijacking - made the cover of TIME Magazine. My Dad had been on that same flight not long before it happened. They determined that the lack of security had happened in Athens and my Dad was glued Io the coverage, pointing out the places they showed where he'd just been...

I was riding the Red Line in Boston and should have taken the Braintree line and I took the Ashmont line instead.

I was very pregnant and very tired. Wasn't paying attention.

Years ago, when my son was in Cub Scouts, I was the Cubmaster and we were teaching a unit on maps and navigation. One of the Den Mothers offered to teach compass use and she gave a great lesson and the kids had fun hiking through a forest.

A couple of months later, she and her son drove to western Pennsylvania to visit family. She told me they were driving back to Long Island and they would be back in time for an event we had planned. Several hours later, she called to say they wouldn't make it back in time because when she got on the highway, she drove west (instead of east) for a couple of hours before she realized her mistake!

We're still friends and she's still embarrassed by this incident!
