..She is an American treasure, a singer, song writer, producer in both Spanish and English and as a social activist as well. Her voice, pasion comes from her corazon y alma for her raizes, jente.

If you have an opportunity listen to her album "canciones de mi padre" (songs of my father.) Her diverse genre, repertoire is universally appealing, also includes rock, country, folk music. She was diagnosed wth Parkinson's disease in 2013, ending her singing career.

It makes me cry that disease took her beautiful voice.

This is the first song I heard of hers. I was driving to school in Spokane and this came on the radio of my old Pontiac.
I've loved Linda ever since.
