I grew up in the town which was home to the icon below. EVERY Saturday night, fun was had at this local night spot. Kids from near and far would venture into its refines to have their memories as well.

and watch airplanes take off and land, or whatever. The road is still there but now there are blast fences and the old parking area is paved and patrolled by the airport police, so I don't think kids go there to "watch airplanes" any more.
