(9,352 posts)I would want that followed by a bone in rib eye, broiled medium rare and served with a baked potato with tons of butter, and a side of creamed spinach.
Dessert should be île Flottante.
All served with a nice Australian Syrah.
I could die a happy woman.

Tonight's meal
Tomorrow night's meal
Absolutely nothing all that fancy about it. It's not even all that expensive.
I guess there's something about it that says "home" to me. And I was very lucky to grow up in a great home.

(722 posts)It's my last meal, right? I don't need that energy tomorrow. Same scenario if it was a nuclear war and we're all dead tomorrow, because I'd want to go out with an act of kindness and empathy, no matter how or when I go.
But hey, with a hypothetical scenario where its either eat or the food goes to waste pointlessly then I'd certainly stop the food from being wasted.
Whatever it was.
Hopefully chicken vindaloo.

(1,227 posts)Look at the last meals of the condemned globally: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Last_meal
Steak, pizza, cheeseburgers and KFC (blech) dominate the preferred final diet of the condemned. Interesting.
I'd go for baked goat with chimi, taboulleh heavy with cucumber, Vietnamese bun with extra fish sauce, street tacos from Sinaloa, lamb shawarma or kofta, steamed brussels sprouts, broccoli and corn with butter and pepper; and the biggest bottle of Patron ever.
Edit to add: and fresh, hot oliebollen and a package of drop. How could I forget dessert?
