that is the worst thing about giving your heart to a precious pet. They just don't live long enough.

And yes, how could ANYONE harm these intelligent, wonderful creatures?

13. He was almost 18, beagle/bassett mix and had a great life.

He did not have a mean bone in his body, although he would steal your hot dog buns if he could. Glad he wasn't considered a "trophy' animal so some dip shit could put him on a wall. He was cremated and I put him in my heart. Bless all of you that protect and love animals.....except for evolution, they are us. And what is evolution really.....just time and circumstance and climate change and unfair competition from invasive species. We are the proverbial priviledged species....born on third base and thought we hit a triple. The game started many years before we were born.
