Shreds post on drive in movies a ramble fond memories of my youth

Sitting here drinking coffee and thinking of fond memories. In how our father would load up the family into a 1970’s dodge work van five boys and head to the drive in movies . Our mother sitting in the passenger seat with our youngest brother on her lap. And the rest of us kids sitting in lawn chairs in back of the van holding on so we did not slide around. Hitting the drive in mom would break out the sandwiches and kool aid. My brothers and I would head to the playground and play until the movie started. I remember sitting in a lawn chair outside watching Charlie bronson breaking a guy out of a Mexican prison flying a helicopter. Or Dirty Harry being a bad ass taking care of San Francisco.

One memory is I think it was Dirty Mary and crazy Larry I’m not sure. It had to be the second feature and my brothers and I sitting outside. And image on screen is a shot of a woman’s naked breast maybe it was Susan George I think she was actress in the movie. My brothers and I were like wow. Now our mother and father go flying out of the van. You boys were leaving pack it up. And my brothers and I loading up slowly trying to get a look at the screen hoping to see. To catch a glimpse of one of the mysteries that evaded us. And our mom reading the old man the riot act about what her boys just saw.

And about ten years later I would think about that dodge van. Comparing it to a ride in c-130 or 141 getting ready to exit aircraft feeling the every jolt or bump trying to stay steady. Just memories I ramble happy st Patrick day Du community.

That's great!

The first pair I ever saw were in Airplane! We had just gotten cable tv which had just come to town. The airplane goes into chaos mode and suddenly, BOOBS!
I got kicked out of the living room and didn't get to finish the movie either...
