Although I adore MST3Ks Gamera is full of meat, Gamera is fun to eat... Ive had a soft spot for Godzilla ever since his mom showed up at the end to take him home. Right now Im watching Destroy All Monsters! Made in 1968 when they really should have known better. Its FABULOUS. 😄

(81 posts)saw this in a theater back in the day.
The smog monster flies over cities doing mass flatulence.
Silent, but deadly!
Thx
kind of a cool Japanese movie: Latitude Zero.
We saw it back in 1971 with "THX1138," the movie I take my screen name "Thx" from.
It's not a Godzilla movie or big monster movie though and has Joseph Cotton, Cesar Romero and Patricia Medina if I am not mistaken.
Thx

(41,959 posts)Early Lucas, right? Weird Robert Duvall appearance?
my friend Steve Hatch and I went to see it in 1971.
He had just seen it and told me it was very "weird" and there was a lot of "white" in the movie, I didn't know what he meant.
Lol, about 40 minutes into it, an old man who was sitting behind us stood up, shook his fist at the screen and shouted, "This is just a bunch of CRAP!" and stormed out, wife in tow.
And I have to admit, it wasn't until years later that it finally dawned on me what the whole movie was about, even though it is revealed in the last scene with Thx looking at the sun.
This was the best part of the movie...
Thx

(56,828 posts)my favorite was King Kong vs Godzilla.
Though, I think if you went by both originals, Godzilla is way bigger and tougher.
