Somebody had commented on Twitter last night about how Madison on Fear the Walking Dead is an annoying character and a guy had responded that the problem is male writers. Comments below in parentheses are not in my twitter responses
I responded to the guy that Fear The Walking Dead has had quite a few female writers in its three years of existence. (Though, a majority have been male)
Then, another guy responded that I was mansplaining and that the writer might not be the one that has final control over the script and it could be the male director or male producer/showrunner that makes Madison unlikable.
My response to him was that I was responding to a guy who said the problem was male writers. If he had said the problem was male writers, directors and showrunners, I would agree 100%. (Though, Fear TWD has also had several female directors over the years as well, though a majority have been male, and the overall showrunner is male. I was also going to respond that he's moving the goal posts if he first blames male writers and then blames male directors or showrunners, but did not yet)
I would also say that one of the problems with Fear TWD is that EVERY character on the show is annoying and unlikable - I find Madison's son Nick to be far more irritating.

(56,827 posts)so, basically don't make any observations about anything on the internet - if it's a woman, it's mansplaining. If it's a guy, it's brosplaining?
