Did you watch it? I never did.
Was it as bad as they say it was?

Supertrain is an unqualified turkey.
But if you want to see something even worse, there was a 1976 "comedy" called The Big Bus:

It has, like, two funny bits in it as I recall, but is otherwise on my short list of the utterly worst movies imaginable.
It's hardly even watchable as a "bad movie" for the sake of "bad movie". But if you like bad movies for the anthropological value of "how bad can a movie really be", then the big screen precursor of the Supertrain will complete your journey into the genre of improbably large vehicle used as a setting for an awful script.

(9,719 posts)2. I remember it, and I did watch a couple of episodes.
A really terrible TV show, but I thought the train itself was a great idea. I still do, actually.

I was ten years old at the time. That's probably why.

God, I miss Johnny! He was the king.

I was only able to watch 2 or 3 episodes before it bit the dust...

(611 posts)7. Indeed I remember Supertrain
It was a character for character knockoff of The Love Boat. It was about as bad as The Love Boat, which somehow managed to stay on the air for years. Supertrain was not the worst show I ever saw. That was Police Surgeon, an ultra low budget Canadian show, or maybe Dark Shadows, which had laughable technical gaffes in every episode but had a following.
