... and hoping no one noticed. DM would have put the title in English, so I was wondering what happened there.

I remember over 35 years ago when they satirized their favorite crime series featuring an unconventional, unruly working-class homicide cop named Schimanski (in the Ruhr valley, many Germans are the descendants of Polish immigrants who came to work in factories between 1910 and 1935). It was written by Germans but drawn by Mort Drucker and the usual MAD crew. It was brilliant and the cop's name was "Schimpanski." Don Martin's stuff was always faithfully reproduced, but with the titles translated for the German audience.

Although none of those four, as spelled, is a word in German.

I'm guessing: Schnellimbiss, Bäckerei, Imbiss, Metzgerei

Close?

I live in Germany, am married to a German, and we have always spoken German to each other (been with her for 44 years now).
