We had a little debate, he said in the first season the Doc was more amenable, more human.

I said I didnt remember that but he was right. I am watching it over again.

I recently finished binge watching the whole thing on Netflix and appreciated the dry wit of Martin Clunes even more on the second time.

It only being offered on Acorn TV, a subscription streaming service, so that's a consideration.

For me it is how the character not only doesnt soften but he gets even less emotional and human as opposed to what usually would happen with a US tv show, where they would want to endear the character to the audience.

Speaking of which there is a team in Hollywood working on American version
