Actually, I did have one dog once -- a real alpha dog, which is why we had to rehome him once he was old enough to challenge our other two male dogs for dominance -- who HATED being petted on his head. In fact, I don't remember him being all that cuddly in general, but he was smart as a whip, cunning, and I loved the heck outta him. Redbone Hound.
