(7,519 posts)I tend not to like anything inconsistently mooshy or slimy with a skin and seeds. I'm fine with tomato sauce and smooth salsa without chunks and pasta sauce. I don't like ketchup either. My mom used to make spiral pasta and mix in a can of stewed tomatoes that were stringy and slimy and ... I think that's where my aversion stems from.
I felt the same way about bell peppers until I learned that I prefer them raw or lightly stir-fried instead of cooked down to a slime.

I say it the first way, and then hear it on tv or in a movie, (usually we watch with english subtitles so we don't miss anything) and it always pisses me off when I read it EEEither, and they say it as eIIIther
