Course, biting through and going after the one who imprisoned him would probably be the result.

(2,050 posts)Even the small ones can take your hand off in a bite or two, the big ones scare me just thinking about encountering one.
River Monsters host Jeremy Wade caught one that was huge, it struck at a crew member and it put its head/neck out there around 4 feet from its shell!
In others words don't touch.
YOW!

(17,862 posts)Was home with my two young daughters. I also happened to be home for lunch (not usual). We lived next to a pond in Tennessee. She was a turtle in the front yard and was ready to send the girls out to say hi. Needless to say I stopped it. The sucker was big and vicious. I eventually got it into a trash can and dumped it back in the pond. Tempted to beat it to death.

(6,390 posts)At the family cabin, the skunk visits frequently. He doesn't bother us though, if were clearing brush, working on the house, bar-b-queing, sitting out drinking beer or wine, etc. He just walks on by, paying us no attention. Which is ok, we like it that way.

(50,553 posts)It's just a pissed-off alligator snapping turtle.
Alligator snappers are born pissed-off and get worse as they go along.
