I was strolling thru the woods today, in this very merry month of May....

When I was taken by surprise, by this pair roguish eyes.
I that moment my poor heart was stole away..

Just 30 feet from our garage. I was riding a lawn mower. Took me a second to realize, go back to the house and fetch my camera..

Sigh.. Life Is Good (LIG)

I wonder at times, is it possible living beings, plant and animal, intuitively "know" where to find the safe zones?

We have 12.5 acres that goes right up a bluff. Over the years we have groomed paths through the woods.

In recent years, I’ve developed a bone disease that makes it very difficult for me to walk up the hill. My husband bought a wonderful 25 hp Mower that makes it to every corner.

Life Is Good.

Ive got a crab-apple tree in my front yard. In the early mornings of late summer, you can usually catch momma and the babies underneath searching for fallen apples. Love seeing them. Early evenings, you can see a herd of 5 or 6 in the woods. The amount of time I've spent in the upstairs bathroom watching them.... And telling the dog to shut up, youre gonna scare em away dude!

in my camera. Such was the camouflage. I wonder if mama deer sees you as benign and maybe thinks proximity to your house scares off predators so she deposited her baby there for safekeeping.

I’m surprised she (?) stayed there long enough for you to get your camera. Was it alone?
