Passion fruit juice with vodka. Hopefully I'll be getting to Buzzedland soon.

From?

You will always find good company here, Aristus! I love our gatherings!

Tomorrow on my way home over the mountains, I am going to buy my 1st edibles.

Any suggestions for something tame?

Fortunately, the clerks in the stores are. Ask them anything. Tell them what you want, and they can point you to the right product.

Despite the fact that cannabis is legal and available over the counter, I always feel slightly furtive when I go in to make a purchase; like I'm doing something wrong, bad, or dirty.

But the employees in these places don't reinforce this feeling. They are friendly, professional, and very helpful.

Let me know what you settle on, and how you like it.

That's why, even though I like to get buzzed on the weekends, I never really get rip-snorting drunk unless I'm out of town and on my own. I keep it to my hotel room. That way, I neither embarrass myself, nor put myself in danger.

Just left the neighborhood bonfire and thought I’d check in on DU before bed. Interesting beer...never seen it before. Do you like it?

And this is a stock photo from the net. It's actually an advertising photograph for the brewer, Dogfish Ale.

It's one of the most amazing beers I've ever had.

It's one of a series of brews called 'Ancient Ales', and are brewed in one way or another by following techniques written down in ancient times. For example, for Midas Touch, the brewers used yeast spores found in beer casks found in the tomb of the historical King Midas (he actually existed; he was a petty regional king in Asia Minor, what is Turkey today; he couldn't turn things into gold by touching them, though...)

They took the spores, and germinated them into yeast with which to brew the ale. They include grapes, honey, and saffron in the process. Although I tried to above, the taste really is indescribable...

Doesn't have anything for me this week, scheduling issues. Apparently, I'll have to stay home and collect my salary. Turrible!

I just call it 'vacation'.

It would go a lot smoother if my devil's spawn grandchildren weren't going to be here. They arrive tomorrow. So, last quiet evening for the next few days...

My step-daughters have four each, and my stepson and his wife just had their first child two months ago, and whom we haven't met yet.

My older step-daughter has four of the most poorly-disciplined, rambunctious, snotty, bratty, infuriating children on the planet. They're the ones coming for a visit. They live in Colorado, thank God, so we only see them rarely.

My younger step-daughter's four kids are the most darling, adorable, angelic, sweet things you've ever seen, and they live a two-minute drive away. So I got lucky there.

Ironically, my older step-daughter with the brats was the well-behaved responsible one growing up, while my younger step-daughter was the unpredictable wild child. It's almost as if they should swap kids.
