The urban heat island keeps the storms out of the metro area, usually.
So, rain, especially this early in the day, is really something to celebrate!

Humid, hot - rain certainly welcome...radar shows many cells all around....from Mesa, Superstition Mts. cloud covered..let's hope more rain moves over the mountains...yes, nice rain last night.....

A short cactus was swaying. (2 feet tall) I have never seen cactus sway.
