Why is Google News obsessed with wrestling?

I have a cheap Android tablet that works pretty well for most things. Lots of books on it and newspaper and magazine subscriptions and decent net connections, so I haven't bothered to use some of its functions.

But,I recently clicked the Google News and the Google News and Weather buttons and both of them had up to half the stories about McMahon's wrestling empire.

Now, I admit some mild interest in knowing why Rybak was fired, or what Rhonda Rousey is up to next, but the wrestling stories do sometimes seem a bit overwhelming.

It seemed for a while Google news was putting out a story every day about Rhonda Rousey. I have zero interest in wrestling and never read the stories. But lately it's stopped, at least on my Android device. You can be sure they always include a puff piece on some female "celebrity" complaining about being "body shamed' .... wearing a bikini. I don't read the stories, but some of their content is very off putting.

All of my social media and search engines filled with stories of him and McMahon.
