maybe it's anthropomorphism to assume Kirk is really responding to video footage of herself being awesome still the cuteness is on point. She's so excited.

(10,173 posts)I once saw a funny video of a dog mesmerized by a documentary about dogs.. he kept checking and sniffing behind the television to figure out what was going on lol

(10,173 posts)I don't generally consider myself a "dog person". We have three cats. But that video made my day.
These days we spend so much time fretting and worrying about big, overwhelming issues that I can get physically exhausted just reading the news or defending my values and political positions.
It nourishes my soul to see the unadulterated joy of a dog or a child. I could watch this all day long.

(3,319 posts)Border Collies are so smart. We had one when my 2 youngest boys were growing up. He was a best friend and pal.
He passed 6 years ago, of old age. I still miss him. What a character.

(10,173 posts)actually, I love all the breeds haha. I can only imagine what a handful your collie was, even when they're naughty they're adorable and charming.

I belong to a FB group called Border Collies Rock and see many images of those doggies every day.

(4,542 posts)She watches TV. She recognizes her image in the mirror. I have nooooo doubt that Kirk KNOWS she is seeing herself, and is overjoyed by this! I've read that the intelligence of border collies is roughly equivalent to a 3 yr. old. They just can't speak (but they try!). On the flip side of that, imagine having a perpetual 3 yr. old... LOL I love my Fionna sooooo very much.
This video is adorable! And so is the one she's watching. She was flawless. Wow.

(10,173 posts)I've had dogs who've been fascinated by the tv and some which weren't. Does your chihuahua respond to animal sounds from a tv at least?

(28,787 posts)he appears entirely indifferent. he's old now. did he ever? not that i recall.

(5,595 posts)watched an agility contest at the Oregon State Fair a few years ago. A certain Jack Russell Terrier was running the course perfectly, when about half way through, he spotted a child over by the edge of the course holding an ice cream cone. You can guess what happened. Funniest thing ever.
