When I was a toddler and I would misbehave, my mother locked me in the closet until I calmed down.
I got used to the dark; I found it soothing. And I liked the cosy, closed-in space. I would stretch out on a pile of clothing and fall asleep.
Being comfortable in dark, closed-in spaces came in handy years later when I was a tank crewman in the Army...

She moves around the house all night long.
Tis far better to see the dog before tripping over her.
