A few years ago, I talked to another woman about my age and we went on and on about her hair and clothes. We loved the clothes from that era.

I was in elementary school when I’m debuted and was fascinated with her clothing and hair. The story lines were cute but the look of her in the city caught my attention. Thanks for the sweet memories.

Back then, it didn't matter that she was of Arab origin, it just mattered that she was smart and beautiful!

(joint w/ Phil Donohue). She signed the 1040 in the wrong place, and we had to return it to her for a proper signature.

She and Phil did WELL that year! (As I'm sure they do most years.)

(She's freakin' 80 years old now!! Process that!)

I wanted to dress like that, and have a cute little apartment like Ann Marie had. Felt the same way about the Mary Tyler Moore show.

I remember one of the best comebacks from the dad character, when the boyfriend was trying to get her to change her name to Marie Brewster, because he thought it sounded more professional - a combo of her last name, and the town she was from - Brewster NY.

The dad glared at Donald, and asked where he was from. Toledo. The dad growled, "How would you like to be known as 'Hollinger Toledo?"

I was @ 1 at the time and watched it because she was so unlike other sit-com women who were more like children.

I may be wrong about that. I believe she was the fore runner of shows like Mary Tyler Moore.

But Earl Hagen's best composition, bar none, was Harlem Nocturne

Arguably the best cover of Harlem Nocturne was done by the Renaissance Man, Johnny Otis (Rene Bloch is playing that syrupy smooth Alto Sax. Wow, Johnny knew talent!).
