I can't even watch his movies, like 'Dumb and Dumber' and 'Ace Ventura'. I've tried, but I have to turn them off.

The few movies where he's played a serious, or non-comedic character are pretty good.

And I love Billy Connolly.

Galaxy Quest

Thought Allen did a good job in the "Shatner" role. But he wasn't really a comedian in his role. Probably helped a lot by being surrounded by so many of my favorite actors.

in a theater. Allen's bit about running and rolling while eceryone else just walked was funny. Then Cruise did a running rolling thing in MI and we were laughing so loud we got looks and I think a walkby from an usher.

what i liked about him was that he was well-read and pulled somewhat obscure references into his routine.

as opposed to most other comedians, who find such knowledge something to laugh at, not a way to spice up their routine.

but once he got political,... ugh.

because part of what they do is try edgy stuff, and part of the effect is to get people to actually think about things they otherwise wouldn't.

but there has to be some actual humor along with the misogyny.
dice's routines are based on the premise that misogyny itself is funny.
it's not.

Maybe it started with those Christmas/Hanukkah songs on SNL with that overbearing grin of "look at me, I'm so funny". I just never got on to him and his shtick.

And the next one I think it was Big Daddy or something like that ... was a quality flick. And the more serious one where he was dying ... not very funny but he did a good job in it.

Some of his SNL skits and songs were classics too.

Apart from THAT stuff though, yeah ...

Carlos Mencina, whose entire routine consists of stolen jokes and then non-pc humor (which is fine) followed by his excoriating the audience if some people go, "oooooh," after a joke for not being cool like him.

sitting at the beach in the heat with my earbuds on laughing along with the Comedy Greats channel, when Larry came on with his own show "Larry the Cable Guy Weekly Roundup".

I was hoping it would be good, but he and his guest went hard right supporting Trump talking about the wall and everything else. Ripped my earbuds out to cool off I was so pissed.

He's in the Dennis Miller category for me now.

He actually played the guitar, and his voice sounded just like Neil Young's.
Halfway through the bit, Neil Young came out, sat down next to him , and started singing along.
It was a hilarious bit, imo.

But I do like Gilbert and Diceman.
Mort Sahl is still alive - .He's 91, still doing comedy, one night a week on some satellite hook-up.
He has to use a cane to walk now..He lives in Mill Valley, near where Robin Williams lived.
(They became good friends)
I don't think he cares for Shitler very much...I always liked his politics.

Carrot Top, Dennis Miller & Roseanne Barr are three of the least funny so-called-comedians ever.

Off the top of my head I’d have to say Katt Williams is one of the worst. Just not even vaguely funny.

Any of the hillbilly comedian types. That shit is impossible.

Honestly, the list of comedians I hate is so much longer than the list I like it would take all week to get through. I’m a curmudgeonly little bastard.

I knew that a relative was using his name at one point (brother?) and that Gallagher, who'd agreed to the use of the name, ended up suing him.

The recent appearance was him I think. No I never thought he was all that funny either but my folks loved him.

Now watch, like 5 people will be all OH WOW I forgot to say Ron White! God, I hate that guy! Lol ...

I also thought for sure I'd see some other inexplicable picks like Eddie Murphy, Bill Cosby (the comedian, not the man), Dave Chappelle, Kathleen Madigan, Maria Bamford, Jim Gaffigan, Patton Oswalt, Eddie Izzard, Steven Wright, Emo Phillips, or Russell Peters ... I'm really glad nobody picked any of them, cause they're all great (or at least WERE, in their day).

I will say I can't really get into Amy Schumer, and trust me, I ain't uptight, she's just not that funny most of the time.

My pick for this list though is Gilbert Gottfried. Dude is WAY annoying and not funny.
