'Native Son' is a heartbreaking elegy to the losses suffered by the First Nations people.

(27,777 posts)He has a great back-up band.
I have a DVD of a concert he did in Lisbon, Portugal about 20 years ago, and it's probably the best live concert I've ever seen....They love him in Europe.
He does a lot of concerts for charity and donates the money he makes as a professional photographer (The Bryan Adams Foundation)
Also he's an animal activist.

(16,061 posts)Well, my wife was with us. I volunteered for the Jazz Fest and drove the artist around while they were here. I spent three days with her. My wife and I were heading to the after party on Saturday night and she jumps between us and announces that we are her date for the night.
Fun lady. And damn good looking.

(64,857 posts)My wife recently found a Best of The Guess Who at the dollar store. Lots of really good songs on there. Surprisingly, No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature was not on there, which i thought was their 2nd biggest hit.
LisaM
(27,794 posts)I would probably rate those as their biggest hits, though I love "No Sugar Tonight". "Clap for the Wolfman" was also a rather big hit, though it's not one of my own favorites.
They put out an album called "Rockin'" which is one of my all-time favorites, lots and lots of good songs.

(64,857 posts)These Eyes is #2, which is higher than i expected.
American Woman, of course, is #1.
The Ultimate Classic Rock website is a great site for that.

Hail, hail!
Kaleva
(36,259 posts)For the rest of my life, whenever the topic of Canadian music comes up, I'll think of the under appreciated Chuggo and his big hit that is often refered to as "Ahhh c'mon fuck a guy".

(10,885 posts)Love their harmonies - great music, indeed. They're one of my favorites from "back then", and now I'm enjoying them in the background as I type this. Wonderful!

As well as some other, lesser acts.

(27,777 posts)How many world tours have they made?
Bruce Cockburn & Neil Young deserved it, Dream Warriors did not, imo.
(Bryan Adams should have gotten a heritage prize)
