they were the group that performed this version. I thought it was from some disco-only group.

Apparently, this was based on the theme song from some TV show.

Who knew?

I liked lot of their more jazzy stuff. I was in a similar vocal group around that time, it was fun. I didn't know this was them for that version, though.
