(4,473 posts)I am what's called a supertaster (I got it from my mother). I am very sensitive to the taste of bitter, and any heavily hopped beers are nasty.

And Scotch.
And Vodka.
And Gin if it's mixed with tonic.
And Brandy.
And a lot of others.
But I wouldn't drink before my job interview.
And I wouldn't grope a woman and hold her down.
And I wouldn't lie about it.

(3,414 posts)My kids drink mostly IPA, which I can't stand. That bitter stuff all tastes like grapefruit juice to me. Bleh!
What I really like is a dark sweet malty brew like Founder's makes:

This beer is absolutely delicious! A good second favorite is Pike's (now that I'm in the Seattle area):

And I love me some marzens so happy Oktoberfest, y'all!

like beer, Sam I am. I do not like in on a box, I do not like it with a fox. I do not like it, Sam I am.
However, my cousin had this home brew one time, and I must say, it tasted like autumn in a glass.
In general I do not like anything fermented. I dont know if I taste it differently or not, but fermented anything just tastes bad to me.
