Stanley Cup + animal rescue + puppies + calendar.... win-win-win-win!

The Capitals canine calendar photoshoot is finally here and OMG PUPPIES!

Saturday afternoon, the best boys and girls graced the Capitals presence for the annual Canine Calendar photoshoot.

All proceeds from the calendar go to Homeward Trails Animal Rescue, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization that provides pet adoption in Virginia, Washington, D.C., and Maryland.

To start, the Stanley Cup is making an appearance in the calendar this year.

Evgeny Kuznetsov and Dmitry Orlov played with the smallest lil floofs.

Alex Ovechkin’s lab Blake is the most well behaved lab in the land.

Braden Holtby and his fedora are extra excited because the Stanley Cup is here.

And every year I have to listen to the Canucks' fans dream . . . only to have them dashed half-way through the season (IF they even get that far.), and then comfort them in their sorrow at the end of the season. Never having won Lord Stanley's cup, the Vancouverites are always hopeful. In vain . . . .
