(22,459 posts)load. 1/2 the time now, at those sites I just click out of them; and that is a problem because usually the page starts to freeze up and it's hard to close the tab

(14,488 posts)they have at least four auto-run videos on each page view which slows my 'puter down to a crawl. I've complained to no avail.
Same nowadays with many news web sites and Twitter pages, although news sites usually only run one auto-start video per page.
I think they're doing this for the sake of smart phone uses that I assume are too damn lazy to click on the "start" arrow....
