(20,144 posts)We had one for many years. His dog house was a little "house" complete with a shingle roof. He would sit on top of it like Snoopy!

(22,581 posts)Their names were Bonnie and Clyde. They had extra toes on all of their paws and followed him everywhere he went. I followed too, trying to pick them up and carry them both at the same time. Considering my age, I was eight or nine, iirc, I could never quite make that happen. They were the sweetest dogs in the world to me. I miss my grandfather. He was funny and kind, drank Seagram's V.O. whiskey and smoked cherry tobacco in a pipe. I'd sell my soul to have just five more minutes with him and Bonnie and Clyde. Thanks for sharing this, Floyd R. Turbo. It conjured up a wonderful memory. Sweet, sweet memories.

(10,838 posts)My wife grew up with them, so they have been a part of our family ever since. We have always had at least one beagle, and as many as nine. Currently down to one. We may rescue another after we repair the back fence next spring. (Beagles wander)
