What is America's fascination with Meghan Merkle?
I'm going through the news... I peruse all the various outlets, I like to get the various slants on what's going on out there...
Example, This gal could wear a green belt with a red dress and there will be 40 different articles and various outlets trying to discern the hidden meaning behind it... Really?
It just bogles my mind... the utter fascination...

(4,657 posts)She's a pretty American woman living a princess life, I guess that's why? Personally I find Hillary Clinton more fascinating, but that's just me.

(102 posts)I do my best to either ignore all of it or make fun of it. But it was worse with Princess Diannas life. then death. Youd have thought a god died, the way the media carried on. ugh.

(38,553 posts)... but maybe even more so because Merkle wasn't a celebrity. A "Cinderella" story, I guess.
But to be fair, there seems to be a fascination about what famous people wear anyway. Think about it. There is usually two to three hours of "red carpet" coverage before any awards ceremony even starts.
