cats are great mousers but not so great ratters because rats are more aggressive and big enough to pose a threat to a cat, and cats usually only go after easy prey being prey themselves.

4. I guess rats in France and NYC fair much better than they do in South Florida.

I have an orange cat that lives on my carport. He rips the rats' heads off and leaves them in my side yard. These are not small rats either. He killed two in one day last month. We call him Max and he is a brutal kitteh.

NYC rats do that in the subway.
