when you receive an email and the first sentence at the top is "This is from a trusted sender."

Makes me want to just plow through and click on everything.

1. I received a paypal phishing email (not unusual, but right after purchasing two items with paypal)

so, the timing had me a bit concerned. I have, in the past sent these kind of phishing attempts to the appropriate security groups within, ebay, aol, various banks, etc, but have never gotten a response back from those charged with "investigating".

IMMEDIATELY after I sent the phishing email to paypal, I got a personalized form response and within two hours of that a more direct response, indicating that they WERE investigating and asking if I would agree to speak with them, if necessary (and how they would contact me, if necessary).


So, for what it is worth, SOME of these actually SEEM to be getting the attention they should.
