to not have to worry about dropping nearly $1000 on a new crown for a broken cusp!
I broke a tooth on a date, at Pieology of all places, two cusps! There was a filling that held the rest together, so the dentist didn't have too much to mess with. Thankfully I don't have to worry about having enough money to fix it, as I'm divorced.
