My wife grew up a staunch Catholic, and had never seen The Exorcist until she was an adult, being told it was a Satanic film.
The ironic thing is, rarely has there ever been a more pro-Catholic, pro-Christian movie. If the church was going to make a propaganda film, The Exorcist would be it.
