5. Awww! I had a pet rat - I was a psych major and I rescued him from the lab
They really are very smart - mine was a hooded rat and I thought he was very cute except for his tail...

But, a rat-pet still creeps me out. I love all critters, well, the opossum that was road-kill on our street really creeped me out.
