Do you have Rh-negative blood?

Did you know that you are the victim of one of the weirdest conspiracy theories.----EVER??? I'm Rh-negative. Had three kids. Got Rhogam and lived a normal life until I decided to Google Rh-negative blood.

It is hard to find any scientific articles within the piles of wooo wooo woooo beyond crazy.

My blood type is A negative. I've heard this can cause pregnancy issues, so I Googled "Rh-negative blood" and ran across a bunch of weirdo sites with "theories" about the origin of negative blood types and some online communities with seriously racist undertones. Where did all this crazy mythology surrounding blood types come from? —Katrina

That sure is some netherworld of dodgy disinfo you inadvertently spelunked into, Katrina—no place you’d want to find yourself without up-to-date antivirus software, an airtight pop-up blocker, and ideally a strong stomach. Many links concerning Rh-negative blood look kosher enough in your search results but when clicked release a flood of wide-eyed theories about ethnic migration, blood-type-based dating tips, and offers to trace your ancestry back to extraterrestrials, angels, or lizards.

Various stalwart rationalists, bless 'em all, have labored above and beyond to debunk this stuff. But I'll go out on a limb here and assume that none of my readers actually suspects some randy E.T. begat great-grandpa. Instead, as you say, the question is where these crypto-hematologists emerged from and what their deal is. On examination, they generally seem to be people who had certain theories about how the world worked long before they learned of Rh negativity. And then? Well, they smelled blood........

No one knows for sure: five magic words that will forever summon swarms of crackpots from dankest cyberspace. Some try to tell you that the children of the Nephilim, an antediluvian race of fallen angels and/or giants casually mentioned in Genesis, still walk among us—ye shall know them by their Rh-negative blood. Others will list the “reptilian” physical characteristics Rh-negative folks possess, including extra vertebrae and lower-than-normal body temperature. Yet others want to talk about the AB-negative blood supposedly found on the Shroud of Turin. But two major sets of opportunistic cranks stand out, each armed with their own theories about Rh negativity.

when she was having kids. My younger brother had to have a blood transfusion after he was born because of antibodies had infected his blood.

At this point, with all the crazies, I might be glad I am a reptilian alien being.

that only 15% of people have RH- and type A is also rare. I also have blue eyes that I guess are pretty rare
in the world population. I seem to have a strange attraction to lizards and snakes.

Do you donate blood? I'm A- but cannot donate because I was diagnosed with chronic fatigue syndrome twenty-one years ago, after baby #2. I had two little boys, so of course I was chronically fatigued, LOL.

For whatever reason they didn’t have one this year, but I almost always give at those. I used to give several times per year but haven’t given more than once in the last 5 years or so.

Some of my Basque relatives do. And we're not Nephilim, reptiles, extraterrestrials or other such Trumpians. "And God said, 'Let there be light!' And there was light. And a Basque shepherd woke, stretched, whistled up his dogs, and went to boil coffee for breakfast."

7. Actually RH-Negative is the sign of direct descent from God

The has to be a certain number of RH- to balance the RH+in the world. RH- is the force for Good and is more potent than RH+ which is the potential for Evil-and the blood type of Adam and Eve. We need far fewer RH- to keep the Good from being overcome by the Evil.

RH- beings can occasionally be overcome by the forces of evil.

God must breed when the ratio becomes unbalanced and selects human mates when the ratio must be re-balanced. Jesus was RH-

I also have an extra vertebra (and blue eyes). I don't know about any woo-woo origins, but I'd like to see if there's any correlation between blood type and intelligence ... supposedly the alien origin of Rh negative people means higher intelligence.

10. Well, very minor genetic differences have led to great human tragedy.

Having the genetic profile for Rh- blood is not especially different than having a different gene for melanin than the controlling population's genetic melanin profile; neither having an effect on one's humanity.

Nevertheless, on the ground of this country in which we live, the gene for high melanin led to 350 years of unbelievable cruelty, torture, rape and outright murder, a stain that remains indelible in our history and accounts for the fact that a disgusting ignorant and unintelligent racist occupies the highest office in this land at the end of 2018.

This suggests that it may not be safe to ignore the craziest people among us. We have an insane person in the White House right now, a man who hates Mexicans more than he cares about Americans.
