I have had him for more than 20 years now, and it broke my heart when he sustained a career-ending injury. He was my dream horse. His name is my screen name.
I just wish I'd remember to stop kissing his nose when I'm wearing chapstick!

How do you explain the trust, mutual respect, and deep love one can share with another species. It's the "I know how you feel" looks too. They understand your pain, your happiness, and even your sense of humor and you theirs.
Bayard is such a handsome big guy! You both look stunning. I know you won many ribbons with him, so congratulations to you both.
