Well sometimes those internet tips pay off - Jeans

I have a pair of jeans that are great except that the never "broke in" at the bottom of the legs.
They didn't fold around my shoes.

So I looked up "How to break in jeans".
One how to I saw had this whole process of soaking them in a vinegar/water mixture, let them dry, turning them inside out and using sandpaper, washing them alone, drying them with tennis balls.

I cut it down to just sandpapering the bottom 8-10 inches of each leg.

Worked like a charm.

I recently microwaved a not-inexpensive pyrex dish with the plastic lid on it (the lid which is not microwave safe). Of course, it got so hot that it created a vacuum and deformed, seemingly permanently. I couldn't get it to go back in shape and thought the entire bowl was trash.

Well, lo and behold google pointed me to a blog where the guy had the same problem. He repeated the microwave "trick" with the lid then placed it on a plate with something heavy on it... A short time later after it had cooled, voila, back to normal.

And I was about to throw it out.

There's probably an answer to about everything online if you just know where to look.

Speaking of Pyrex - meatloaf and other dishes continually have burnt material that is a bear. I'd seen some tips/hacks about soaking dryer sheets in such situations. I tried it leaving it over night. Yep cleaned right up. Way less scrubbing.
