Gives stupid people stupid ideas.

Then we end up with an animal that can't live in the wild and must be taken care of for the rest of it's life.

Michael Jackson had animals at his "ranch" which were turned over to animal rescue organizations. He never made any contribution to their continued care. Any guess how much meat a tiger eats every day?
