I miss chickadees...I haven't seen them in this part of California- according to my bird book the Sacramento valley is in between where the coastal and mountain types live.

I'm getting hooked on this bird thing...they are just tough to capture. I hear them but don't see them.

If it's in your own yard, one or more birdfeeders, nests, and or birdbaths will draw them in and keep them distracted.
IMO, the B&W images you made are more attractive because the lens you're using produces a lot of chromatic aberration and because I just like B&W.
