Said the facilities were incredible.

We have issues over the politics of money so I didn't pursue it

But aren't nursery schools for super wealthy in NYC maybe that expensive?

But I'd be interested in the specifics. What school, and so on.

But yeah, there are those who can afford such things. Like private schools. Periodically people here state that they think there should be no private schools in this country. Let me just say that if I'd had to keep my older son in the local public school, instead of being able to send him to a secular independent school starting with 7th grade, he'd probably have been suicidal within a year. He was experiencing bullying in the elementary school, and I was advised by a good friend that it was far worse in the middle school, and if at all possible not to send him there. So I made the change and it was the best thing I could have done for him.

That said, schools, even public schools, in NYC are notoriously competitive. Anything private is going to be pricey, and of course a nursery school is by definition private.

and got loads of articles. Here's just one:

https://money.cnn.com/2014/06/10/luxury/preschool-new-york-city/index.html

Tuition costs a pretty penny -- sometimes up to $40,000 per year -- just for a few hours of school each day, according to Karen Quinn, a former private school admissions consultant who's written books that advise parents on the process.

"You think college is bad? Try getting into preschool on the Upper East Side," said Amanda Uhry, president of Manhattan Private School Advisors, which charges between $15,000 and $35,000 to 1,500 clients each year to help their kids land a spot in private school. "Some of these preschools get 400 recommendations for 16 spots."

What does all that money and anxiety buy you? Batalion said that when she started touring schools, she was floored by what they offered. The schools had science labs, pottery studios, sustainable garden roofs and yoga corners for every kid in the class. Some of the schools, she said, were nicer than her house. She wanted to spend her days there.

The problem, of course, is not limited to NYC.
