No. Cost of the room isn't bad, but cost to build is rather eye-opening hlthe2b Jun 2019 #5

Once you consider the cost of transferring back and forth to the city, and booking a hotel room there.

I would stay there.

At least it bears no resemblance to the Denver airport's giant mustache or whatever the hell it's supposed to be. . .

My grandma would have loved it. She loved flying, back when it was glamorous, which is maybe why she married an Army Air Corp officer.

She'd dress up for flying like a Hollywood movie star.

When I was a kid she bought the ticket for my first flight on a jetliner. I got all the bling and attention children received then, shaking the captain's hand, etc..

uniform from 1968. It's about 9 seconds into the video. Appears to be a person staffing the check-in counter. Later they say staff will be wearing replicas of the TWA uniform from the early 1970s, so I can't imagine why they have the apparent United uniform shown. Sloppy research on someone's part.

Was built while I was in high school 12 miles away, and went to check out the place with friends one night.

When I used to visit family on Long Island in the 50s and 60s, we used to go out to Idlewild. Later as an adult, I occasionally flew through JFK, sometimes on TWA. Can't wait to see it again after all these years.
