I find all sorts of stuff riding my bicycle...

Today, I rode downtown, and along the way, I found:

A ten-dollar bill

2 multicolored superballs for my cats

A stainless steel water container that runners use, in perfect condition

75 cents in quarters.

What a day!

But all three had already been run over multiple times.

I found all three in the driveways of gas stations, someone puts the cell phone on top of the car and drives off after forgetting about it.

but today's wheel weights are a lead free zinc alloy, and just a small amount mixed with a pot of lead will make it hard, like type metal. My rule of thumb with my lead collecting is if you can scratch it with a fingernail, it's reasonably pure lead.

I find nice water bottles all the time on my favorite in-town walking/bike path. It runs behind some farmland, a golf course and some really nice housing developments along a rarely used railroad track.

I always know when schools are out because there is an uptick on small sporting goods, like soccer balls and the occasional frisbee. Once there was a really nice loveseat put out there which, for the life of me, I do not understand. The houses in that area are really nice and this is not an area most people would ever think to go to "junk" stuff. It didn't last which made me wonder if it was intentionally brought out there as a joke or something.

I'd love the $10 though.

I don't know why anyone buys a bungee cord, when there is an infinite supply of them along the roadsides of my area.

Or...

Dinner for the whole family!

I always find hoodies hanging from the fence.

Although my best score was walking along a path up in NW Pennsylvania on vacation along Kinzua Reservoir. I found a $20 bill.

But I have found dozens of bike tools, some that were rather expensive.

You made out like a bandit today!
