that your grocery or Walmart/Target store is sometimes low on stock? I went to my usual grocery store today and they were out of two items I often buy .... a certain brand of canned beans .....and oatmeal. I've noticed low stock and a few bare shelves lately, where I've never seen it that way before.
I know the flooding in the Midwest is supposed to be backing up the trucking, I wonder what else could be causing this? I always see plenty of workers so it's not that they're not stocking the shelves.

(2,883 posts)the local Wally's is low on common items off and on for a number of weeks now. Prices are up and sizes are down. Welcome to thuglican utopia...
I notice my Wally's runs out of bread and buns more often. Onions, too, like irisblue mentioned.

(6,280 posts).... At my smaller Kroger that I usually shop at. Then again it may have something to do with the Kroger they built in another part of town which is the size of a freaking airport. They have a damn clothing department!!
Don't you always think of Kroger's when it's time to purchase clothing?
That's like the mega-huge gas stations now that are half grocery store and half fast food joint! With booths for sitting and eating your food that you just ordered! They sure have come a long way from only selling gas and cold bottled pop!

(6,280 posts)We have a Dodge chain store in Arkansas. The place is always packed, but not for the cheap gas prices. This place is always packed because of the fried chicken they sell. Believe it or not, it really is that good. You can't blame the gas stations for converting to fast food joints and convenience stores since I believe they only earn somewhere around three cents a gallon according to the National Convenience Store Association. That's pretty sad. Before the fast food explosion, their main source of income was the sale of cigarettes.

(17,274 posts)of the corn that is normally planted by now has not been planted yet this year. Shortages and higher prices will only escalate. Extreme weather conditions with impotus stupidity as icing on the cake.
