Now it's the dragonflies.......

lots and lots of dragonflies......aren't they good luck??? Oooops, let me check google. found this info exciting. The dragonfly, in almost every part of the world symbolizes change and change in the perspective of self realization; and the kind of change that has its source in mental and emotional maturity and the understanding of the deeper meaning of life.

2. I don't know if any one else except my grandmother said this.

I believe that my Mother learned the from her Mother. Mom told me when I was very very young that a dragon fly could sew your mouth closed.
I agree it's a horrible thing to tell a child, but I guess that is what I remember. Now I know that the dragon flies are attracted by milk weed. That explains a lot!!

3. I didn't know this about milk weed being a favorite of dragon flies. I'll let some out and not ...

weed all of it out. I see them here in STLMO all of the time, saw two buzzing around earlier today!

They are as curious about us as we are of them. I watch them carefully, and often notice them looking me over from many angles.

I always feel lucky when I see them.

6. Dragonflies love bright colors and if you are very still they will land on your clothes.

I had a pair of bright coral pants and went to the swamp to sit and read. The next thing I knew there were dozens flying around me, landing on my britches.

Thanks for that memory.
